…könnte man fast werden, wenn man sich für das Thema BurnOut interessiert und dazu die aktuellen Veröffentlichungen verfolgt.

Während eine Gruppe das BurnOut Syndrom für eine reine Modeerscheinung hält, vertritt eine andere Gruppe vehement die Meinung, dass sich BurnOut aufgrund der schlechten Arbeitsbedingungen ausbreitet.

Meine Erfahrung:
Das BurnOut Syndrom ist definitiv keine Erfindung oder Modeerscheinung.
Schon seit vielen Jahren wächst die Zahl der Menschen, die an den Symptomen von Stress bedingten Belastungen und Depressionen leiden. Was relativ modern und neu auftritt, ist möglicherweise der Begriff „BurnOut“, der die einzelnen Beschwerden unter einem Sammelbegriff zusammen schließt und manchmal leichtfertig inflationär benutzt wird. Dabei geht es aber ausschließlich um die Verpackung für eine Problematik, die schon viele Jahre die Gesellschaft belastet.
Meine Meinung:
Eine Diskussion ob es BurnOut tatsächlich gibt ist unnötig und stiftet ebenso unnötige Verwirrung und Misstrauen bei Betroffenen, Arbeitgebern und Angehörigen.
Aber auch die zweite, weit verbreitete Meinung, dass das BurnOut Syndrom aufgrund verschlechterter Arbeitsbedingungen um sich greift, ist nach meiner Erfahrung unrichtig.
Noch nie habe ich einen grundsätzlich entspannten und zufriedenen Menschen erlebt, der sich über einen längeren Zeitraum mit belastenden Symptomen einer Stresserkrankung plagen muss.
Die wahren Gründe?
Eine ängstlich vermeidende Lebenseinstellung, brüchiges Selbstwertgefühl oder der überzogene Wunsch nach eigener Perfektion lässt aber so eine grundsätzlich entspannte Denkweise nur wenig gedeihen.
Die Krux ist wahrscheinlich viel weniger in der Anzahl der Arbeitsstunden oder in einem zu großen Arbeitspensum zu suchen, als in der (belasteten) ausschließlich auf Leistung ausgerichteten Gesellschaft, die ihre Kinder zum perfekten Funktionieren mit vielfältigen Regelwerken erzieht.
Hält sich das Leben aber mal nicht an Spielregeln, sind Flexibilität im Denken, Kreativität und die Fähigkeit Veränderungen zu akzeptieren eine unabdingbare Voraussetzung, um die wichtigen Energien für Stabilität zu entwickeln.
Entspannung hilft.
…und ermöglicht es, die Lebenssituation aus unterschiedlichen Blickwinkeln zu betrachten.
In einem entspannten Klima können wirkungsvolle Strategien und Lösungen für belastende Alltagsprobleme entstehen.
Übrigens:
Durch Diskussion über mögliche Ursachen, die Suche nach Schuld oder Abgabe von Verantwortung konnte noch nie ein Mensch heilen. …und dabei ist es doch eigentlich ganz einfach.
