26 OktMobbing – unter der Lupe.
Viele Burnout Betroffene erzählen in Therapiegesprächen von Mobbing-Erfahrungen.
War das tatsächlich Mobbing? …oder vielleicht nur ein unbedeutender Zwist unter Kollegen?“ fragen mich die Betroffenen häufig.
Auffallend ist, dass den „Gemobbten“ (den Begriff „Opfer“ möchte ich nicht verwenden!) das Mobbing-Geschehen oft erst bewusst wird, wenn sie sich schon mitten darin befinden.
Für mich ist das ein guter Grund das Thema „Mobbing“ mal etwas genauer zu beleuchten:
Mobbing kommt häufig in hierarchischen Systemen vor.
Wer seine Arbeit als „Kampf um Existenz“ versteht, kann sich sehr leicht Konkurrenzdenken unter Kollegen verheddern. Überzogene Ansprüche an sich selbst oder andere, der Wunsch „besser“ als der Andere zu sein oder einfach ein Wunsch Macht auszuüben, sind häufige Ursachen, die zu bekannten Mobbing Verhaltensweisen führen können.
Achtung: Nicht jeder kleine Streit zwischen Kollegen, kann als Mobbing bezeichnet werden!
Unter dem Begriff „Mobbing“ wird zusammen gefasst, wenn ein Betroffener systematisch und absichtlich über einen längeren Zeitraum schikaniert, ausgegrenzt oder benachteiligt wird.
Und oft beginnt so etwas zunächst ganz harmlos.
Ein Missverständnis? Ein unbedeutender Konflikt?
…wird im Rückblick häufig als Auslöser erkannt.
Wenn sich ein Konflikt nicht (oder nur unbefriedigend) klären und lösen lässt, kann daraus Schuldzuweisung oder Angriff entstehen:
Ignorieren, wie Luft behandeln, tuscheln, verleumden und ausgrenzen sind typische Handlungen, die beim Mobbing verwendet werden. Oft werden auch die (bisher unbestrittenen) Fähigkeiten eines Betroffenen (direkt oder indirekt) in Zweifel gezogen und persönliche Schwachstellen für Mobbing-Angriffe genutzt.
Der eigentliche Anlass (der ursprüngliche Konflikt) tritt dabei meist völlig in den Hintergrund.
Ich finde, es ist einleuchtend, dass unter solcher Belastung das Selbstbild und Selbstwertgefühl des Betroffenen leiden können.
Die Wirkung?
Sehr oft gilt der Betroffene plötzlich als „schwierig“ oder seltsam.
Wer unsicher ist, bekommt Angst und macht häufig Fehler.
Daraus ergeben sich dann oft arbeitsrechtliche Maßnahmen (Abmahnung oder Androhung der Kündigung) und verstärken den inneren Druck. Kommt es schließlich tatsächlich zu einer Kündigung, haben die „Mobber“ das erwünschte Ziel erreicht.
Meine Meinung:
Konflikte lassen sich nicht vermeiden – aber klären!
Überall wo es „menschelt“ – also unterschiedliche Menschen zusammen leben oder arbeiten, können Missverständnisse entstehen.
Schon bei den Kleinsten in Kindergarten und Schule lassen sich oft typische Mobbing-Verhaltensweisen beobachten. In der Arbeitswelt wo unterschiedliche Menschen mit ihren Erfahrungen und Meinungen aufeinander prallen und gemeinsam nach guten Lösungen suchen, lassen sich Konflikte nicht ausschließen.
Der Umgang mit persönlicher Kritik fällt vielen Menschen schwer.
Durch Mobbing entsteht großer Schaden für alle Beteiligten.
Schlechtes Betriebsklima oder Streitereien wirken ungünstig auf Mensch, Team und Arbeit. Schwelende Konflikte erzeugen Unruhe unter der das Arbeitsergebnis häufig leidet. „Dienst nach Vorschrift“ oder eine „innerliche Kündigung“ sind für alle Beteiligten unangenehm und wenig sinnvoll.
Einfache Strategie:
So früh wie möglich Klarheit schaffen.
Eine offene Aussprache?
Nachfragen?
Konfrontieren?
Sich etwaigen Vorwürfen stellen?
…erzeugt bessere Ergebnisse, als schweigend abzuwarten.
Der Versuch, einen Konflikt auszusitzen oder zu verdrängen, erzeugt nur selten positive Ergebnisse.
Ist offene Kommunikation unter den Beteiligten nicht (mehr) möglich, gibt es möglicherweise Unterstützung bei Betriebsrat oder Vorgesetzten. Auch Mediation oder Coaching sind wirkungsvolle Möglichkeiten, die zur positiven Lösung einer „schwelenden“ Konfliktsituation beitragen können. Der Aufwand ist im Gegensatz zum möglichen Schaden sehr gering.
Übrigens: Mobbing kann auch für „Mobber“ ins Auge gehen. Der Arbeitgeber hat das Recht Arbeitnehmer zu „entfernen“, die Arbeit und Betriebsklima stören und beeinträchtigen.
Klarheit schafft Sicherheit und wirkt gegen Angst und Belastung.

leider muss ich aus meiner selbst erlebten fast 13jährigen Mobbinggeschichte zu folgendem Ergebnis kommen.
